Going to Bowman Gray August 6th? Get Grandstand Tickets for Two Bucks

Strutmasters.com, who is sponsoring the entire race weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium (NC) August 6th and 7th, is offering grandstand tickets for $2 per ticket for Friday's action, which includes the Legends and Bandolero races. For the Legends and Bandolero events, only the first 20 entrants are being accepted for the four features that will occur. According to the BGS website, the Pro / Masters division is full, leaving the Bandits division, Outlaws division and the Young Lions / Semi-Pro division still open for entries. Shootout Round Eight: Pistone Officially DQed; Results & Points Released

On Thursday afternoon, Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC) released the official results and points after round eight of the Summer Shootout Series, which only included races for the Legend Cars as the Bandolero races were rain postponed until next week. In the official results, Tom Pistone, who rolled across the finish line first in the Masters division, has been disqualified. Pistone had a frame rail that was low on the car and the team had filed an appeal due to bent parts, which made the results unofficial, pending tech. LN attempted to get word from INEX Executive Director Darrel Krentz on Wednesday, but messages left were not returned. The official results and the points now reflect the DQ, which gives the Masters win to Eddie Harwell. For the official results of all races, click here. For the current official points, click here.
Wild 'n Wacky Wednesday 7/28 Results from the Waterford Speedbowl

Waterford Speedbowl competed on Wednesday with another night of Wild ‘n Wacky racing, the first successful night of racing after two consecutive rain-outs. Berlin’s Jason Palmer claimed his second straight win in an exciting Legends Cars race. John Yagmin of Tolland won a tight battle in the Super X-Car event to take the checkered flag. Point leaders Glen Thomas Jr. of Groton and Taylor Martin of New Hampshire won their respective X-Car and Bandolero division races. Ray Beebe Wins Wednesday Concord Speedway Bandolero Feature

Four Bandolero racers showed up Wednesday, July 28th, to race at Concord Speedway (NC) as part of the USAC Ford Focus Midgets event at the track. Ray Beebe went to victory lane in the 25 lap event, and was followed across the line by Kodie Conner, Reid Wilson and Tyler Dayton (results courtesy Carolina Midget Series). Added note: According to our Facebook page, Rita Wilson stated that Reid Wilson finished second, followed by Conner and Dayton.

The fifth episode documents Daniel Hemric, Kenzie Ruston and Bayley Currey in what should be the season finale of the show. The fourth episode of the Track Rats show is online now on the Cartoon Network website. This episode, which is just under five minutes long, focuses on Daniel Hemric and his racing career. It also documents Hemric's first test in a Pro (Super) Late Model with BDI Racing, which is owned by Speed51.com owner Bob Dillner, at Concord Speedway (NC). Hemric later went on to race the #51 machine, setting a new track record during qualifying and finishing second in the race. To watch this episode, click here.

In the Legends Car event, Gerald White, Jr. went to victory lane over Tyler Smith, Jake Perkins, Seth Adams, Justin Brown, Lynn Wiles, Mason Ketterman, Devin McLeod, Matt Larmore, Dakota Baggette, Leroy Moore, Zach Napoleon, Donovan Ponder, Dave Gleason, Danielle Stratton and Roger Englund. In the Bandolero feature, Teddy Lively won over Cameron White, Jacob Hunter, Andy Metz, Michael Held and Dustin Turnage, Jr.

Shootout Round Six Tire DQs Reversed; Drivers Given Warnings

In the Summer Shootout Series sixth round make-up races for the Legends Cars held Tuesday, July 20th, at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC), Pro division winner Justin Lloyd, Masters winner John Sossoman and fourth-place finisher Eddie Harwell were all initially disqualified for rules infractions dealing with the direction of the tires. According to a rule placed on the US Legend Cars International website on May 20th in the "tech tips" section, the tires must be mounted with the arrow facing a certain direction only for all tires on a car. On each of the three driver's cars, a tire was mounted with the tread facing the wrong direction. The disqualifications gave the Pro win to Scott Hensley and the Masters win to Buddy Goudy.
Over the weekend, the official results were posted on the Charlotte Motor Speedway website, showing that the disqualifications have been reversed, giving the wins back to Lloyd and Sossoman as well as giving fourth back to Harwell. click here for the full story and reasons why INEX reversed the DQs

The Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour made their tenth stop of the 2010 season at “Maine’s Toughest Track,” Unity Raceway. The rough and tough track takes it’s toll on both the cars and the drivers, but it offers a unique challenge, with the outside groove being the smooth and fast groove, while the inside groove is rough but offers the shortest distance around the oval, and sometimes the only place to make passes.
